About Us
INNsula is the Innovation Hub of Western Sicily: a regional infrastructure for innovation.
It is not merely a space or a set of services. It is a system that connects and brings together various stakeholders — businesses, start-ups, public authorities, universities, schools and local communities — to develop high-impact projects and solutions.
In the Belìce region, INNsula serves as a catalyst: it identifies real needs, transforms them into opportunities for innovation, and develops concrete pathways for experimentation and development.
Why INNSULA?
INNsula draws inspiration from the insula, a part of the brain associated with intuition, awareness, and decision-making.
It is the place where information is transformed into understanding and ideas are turned into action.
Similarly, INNsula was created to be a place where skills, experiences, and visions come together to generate insights and turn them into concrete projects.

Brings expertise in methodologies, programme design and links to national and international ecosystems, with experience in incubation, acceleration and open innovation.
GAL Valle del Belìce
It contributes through its deep roots in the local community, its understanding of local needs, and its ability to foster partnerships between public and private sector stakeholders.
CRESM
He brings expertise in socio-economic research, community engagement, and participatory processes, supporting the development of local strategies and shared development pathways.
Comune Partanna
As a co-organizer of the initiative, it serves as a key institutional partner in the region, facilitating the involvement of the local community and supporting the launch of initiatives and spaces for innovation.
INNSULA’S OPERATIONAL HEADQUARTERS
THE G55
G55 Coworking Space and FabLab in Partanna
It is the physical heart of INNsula: a space designed to foster, nurture, and connect ideas, businesses, and people.
Housed in a refurbished public building covering over 1,400 square metres, now certified to energy efficiency class A, the G55 is a space designed from the outset to foster innovation, collaboration and experimentation.
It comprises a variety of spaces, designed to support every stage of a project’s development:
- co-working spaces for everyday work
- meeting rooms for teams and partners
- an events area for workshops, presentations and networking
In addition to these, there is a FabLab equipped with technology for prototyping and experimentation, including 3D printers and scanners, as well as Arduino kits.
